Do I need a boat licence?
No. Self-drive sessions don’t require a boat licence. Everyone completes a safety briefing before departure and the controls are designed to be simple to use.
Can I add the BBQ pack once I’m on board?
No. Add the optional BBQ pack during booking when it is offered for your selected session.
Where do the boats operate?
Aquadonut operates within Victoria Harbour and Docklands. Spaceship options can cruise the Yarra River and, subject to route approval and conditions, into Port Phillip Bay as far as St Kilda.
How long is a session?
Aquadonut day sessions are available for two hours, with three-hour night sessions. Spaceship sessions are available for two or four hours, and skippered night sessions are also available.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions prevent safe boating, you can reschedule within the following 12 months without an administration fee. Weather-related refunds are not normally provided unless agreed in writing before booking.
Can we book multiple boats at the same time?
Yes. Company groups can book three Aquadonuts for up to 30 guests or three Spaceships for up to 36 guests. Subject to fleet availability, the full fleet can accommodate up to 66 guests.
What is the difference between Aussie, Pontus and Voyager?
Aussie, Pontus and Voyager are the names of individual Spaceship boats; their layouts and features are identical.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekends, especially between 2 pm and 6 pm, are popular and can book up to six months in advance. Book early for peak dates and special events.
What options are available for New Year’s Eve?
Aquadonut offers self-drive New Year’s Eve sessions around Melbourne’s fireworks times. Skippered Spaceship sessions may also be available. Book early and confirm the current timetable before reserving.
Do you provide an esky, ice and catering services?
Yes. An esky and ice can be added, and catering options are available. Select extras during booking or contact us before your session.
